Member-Initiated Events

This section has volunteer opportunities that are not organized by AGS. They are entirely self-initiated events.
You sign yourself up directly with the event organizers, volunteer under their supervision, and turn in proof to our recording secretary in order to get credit. We'll usually specify with the event organizer what constitutes proof.
These events are good for if your schedule prevents you from attending our own community service events. Sign up for these events and help out the community even more. Please note, all these events count for CS hours.
Jimmy's Running To Cure Cancer

Our Marketing Director, Jimmy Stafford, is currently training with Team in Training for a marathon and raising funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This is a voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. Tyler, age 7, is one of the Team in Training's honor teammate. He was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and Leukemia. Last week he was in intensive care, but a drug was found that worked. Thanks to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Tyler is now home. You can also make people like Tyler improve their lives by supporting Team In Training.
-Members who donate at least $10 will receive 1 CS hour
-Members who donate $5 will receive 1/2 CS hour
